Do you sometimes feel like channeling your inner diva? Then, this is the place, girls! Hotel Diva wisely chose Perrier as its exclusive partner in this venture, launching the world’s first sparkling water lounge. In case you need reminding, Perrier springs from the source in Vergéze in the south of France (on the Mediterranean border) and began its now classic, green bottle distribution back in 1898. The evolution has now come full circle to San Francisco (on the Pacific border) in this chicly fitted out hotel lounge.
Why the Hotel Diva? Because it has a reputation as one of the coolest hotels in the city. Situated a short walk away from Union Square and close to shopping and nightlife, The Diva is a practically a destination in this tourist laden town. With its dramatic yet clean modern style, the Diva combines fashionable surroundings with a tradition of excellent service. The Perrier Lounge, located on the sixth floor offers guests an almost funhouse atmosphere for socializing. Designed by Personality Hotels CEO, Yvonne Lembi-Detert and her daughter Emily, a design student, their inspiration was simple – the iconic green bottle. Towering 30 feet “Perrier Green” walls dotted with round mirrors create a dramatic frame for the hand-blown glass bubbles cascading chandelier. The bubbles theme goes full tilt with sheer bubble curtains and bubble accented wallpaper and carpeting. It’s … well, bubbly! The lounge’s completion marks the finale of the hotel’s extensive renovation, including a redesign of the 116 guest rooms and suites, common areas and exterior.
You can catch up on your social media and share your Alcatraz pictures while relaxing with a Perrier in the swinging bubble chair or watch Perrier’s latest short film, “The Drop” playing on the flat screen.
