Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort, Orlando, Florida

Hotel Wyndham Bonnet Creek

It had been a long day at Universal Studios when we walked up to the resort door.  We were all exhausted, the kids cranky, hungry and expecting to be “bored.”  All of a sudden we open the door and the kids barrel into the room, full of newfound energy, then run from room to room excited to learn that the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort is their new favorite place to stay in Orlando.  The room was awesome.  Clean, cool, big, equipped with every amenity you can think of and smack in the middle of all the Disney World action.  Just as we got all of our stuff situated and sat down to relish these incredibly cool digs, we heard some popping outside and saw flashes of light from the windows.  We rushed to see what was happening and realized that we had stepped out into the most incredible view of Walt Disney World’s nightly fireworks display – right from our private balcony.  Hotel Wyndham Overview

As if the impressive room wasn’t enough, the kids went crazy for all the extras this resort has to offer.  The grounds were like an entertainment compound with five pools, all of which either have awesome water slides, hot tubs, little kiddie pools, or a lazy river that the kids thoroughly enjoyed.  There were daily activities for the kids, and nightly activities for the family.  One night we snacked on a popcorn picnic while watching a movie on a giant screen set up near the main tower.  There was also a miniature golf course, outdoor playground, an arcade, a central lake complete with cute little ducky families, and a shuttle that gets you to Walt Disney World in about five minutes.   There were also poolside bars, with an incredibly friendly staff offering a beautifully tropical atmosphere for parents to take a break from all the kiddie stuff.

The accommodations are not only gorgeous, they come with all the comforts of home, like a full washer and dryer and a Jacuzzi in the master bedroom although the tub is a bit more luxurious than what most homes have in their bathroom.  The onsite dining and deli’s were top-notch, too. Tips for Moms

The rooms offer fully equipped kitchens and lovely dining tables.  Save yourself some money and serve a home cooked meal one night … you can all pretend you live in this beautiful space.  There’s also a barbecue grill and picnic areas right on the lake for a cool outdoor dinner or fun family lunch.

Wyndham offers convenient transportation to Walt Disney World Parks but getting to the outside parks like Universal or Wet N’ Wild can get a little pricey.  You may want to have a rental car if you plan on seeing other things outside of Disney World.

We had to keep reminding the kids we were in Orlando to visit Walt Disney World, they wanted to stay in the Lazy River all day and play on the Pirate Ship slide!   Even though the pools are open very late allow yourself a day or two to just hang at the resort.

There is an on-site Disney Planning Center staffed with very helpful Disney cast members who help with great insider tips for visiting the parks.  They were friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to make sure our trip was outstanding.

Imagine a timeshare inside the gates of Walt Disney World.  This place offers Vacation Ownership options.  We stayed in a three bedroom, two bath condo in Tower 2 and the place was in first rate condition.  I would highly suggest taking the tour to learn about the timeshare options.  Visiting Wyndham annually with your family is more attainable than you may think.  Call 877-460-7551 or 407-626-5200.
