Ireland Sampler Tour

4 Ways to Spend the Night

Planning a trip to Ireland this spring, but can’t decide where you’d prefer to stay in terms of accommodations?  With decisions to be made between modern hotels and medieval castles, why not try a bit of everything?  The King and Kinsmen Package from European Destinations begins at $1139 per person and offers four different overnight experiences during an 8 day, self-drive trip.  Travel to Dublin, Galway, Killarney, and Limerick and alternate between nightly stays in a hotel, an 11th century castle, a farmhouse and a bed and breakfast.  This time around you can have it all.

The trip begins in Dublin, with a stay at the Mount Herbert Hotel (now known as Sandymount Hotel).  Experience Irish hospitality here, just 2 stops on DART from Dublin’s city center.  After two nights, travel onward to Galway, with a 2-night stay in the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel.

Mount Herbert Hotel

The Abbeyglen Castle Hotel is located in the village of Clifden, Connemara outside of Galway.  The hotel has fantastic amenities including a restaurant and beauty and relaxation center, and provides beautiful views of Clifden Bay.

After your stay in Galway, enjoy 2 nights at a traditional bed and breakfast in Killarney followed by another night at a B&B in Limerick.  For the final evening of your trip, return to Dublin and enjoy another night where your trip began at the Mount Herbert/Sandymount Hotel.
