The LINQ, Las Vegas

Anyone headed to Vegas knows the drill. Take buckets of cash. But guess what? At The Linq, the newly constructed shopping and entertainment district right on the Strip, you can get a taste of Vegas’ high rolling style without draining your bank account.

Targeted to the growing Generation X and Generation Y clientele, the open-air complex has over 30 trendy shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. A highlight of the shopping scene is 12 A.M. RUN (pronounced “Midnight Run” because it is that trendy), a sneaker boutique selling labels like Young & Reckless and Jordan Brand. Brainchild of the hip-hop king Nas, 12 A.M. RUN rules the Vegas street style scene.

The Linq is also home to cutting edge food venues ranging from upscale bars and restaurants to casual eateries. One of the coolest food instillations is The Purple Zebra, a self-serve daiquiri bar. With 20 flavors you can mix and match an infinite number of combinations and even add candy toppings. Although they have a high sugar content, these cold treats pack an adult punch. Only in Vegas can you have your drink served in a cup shaped like a saxophone or a cowboy boot.

Because it’s right smack in the middle of the Strip, The Linq has some lively nightlife as well. From the trendy Tag Lounge and Bar to the raucous O’Sheas Irish-inspired Casino and Pub, there’s something here for every type of partier. Brooklyn Bowl offers one of the most dynamic entertainment spaces. A bowling alley by day, the venue transforms into a nightclub with live music after the sun goes down. Did we mention they also serve gourmet wings, pizza, and barbecue? Yea, we’ll see you there.

While the retail and food venues are exciting in themselves, the main draw of The Linq is the High Roller, the largest observation deck in the world at 550 feet tall. Get your camera phones ready, because the views from the spherical cabins will make all your instagram followers jealous (#sorrynotsorry). A standard ticket lets you take one revolution around the wheel lasting roughly 30 minutes, but if you plan to party out of bounds you can also rent a cabin for a private party with up to 40 of your friends. Because no Vegas party is complete without a little booze, a bartender armed with a portable bar can keep your soiree fueled throughout your ride. As you reach the top you’re rewarded with stunning views of the Strip that even the top luxury suites can’t offer.

Who says you can’t get a taste of the true high roller lifestyle for practically a song? The Linq is taking resort entertainment to new heights combining shopping, dining and entertainment in one. Exactly what we expect from a Vegas experience.
