The enchantingly picturesque Ashford Castle, situated on 350 idyllic acres on the western coast of Ireland, is inviting guests to experience a special “Seafood Appreciation Week.” From February 28th until March 6th, guests will have the unique opportunity to take in breathtaking sights while enjoying some of the world’s finest and freshest seafood. Whether your favorite is lobster, salmon or scallops, this trip offers you a chance to learn more about how they make it from sea to table.
As part of the celebration, the castle has prepared a special two night package available for the nights of March 1st and 2nd or March 4th and 5th. The itinerary for each package features a full day tour of Connemara escorted by the castle’s chef that concludes with a 5 course seafood dinner in the renowned George V dining room. Ireland’s Good Eating Guide 2007 Best Chef award winner, Stefan Matz, will prepare some of his signature seafood dishes for the occasion.
