All Things Cashmere

ITB Cashmere kit

Traveling can be arduous. Flight delays, airplane food, and screaming kids can take their toll on even the most seasoned traveler. On a good day you make your flight with time to spare and realize that you’ve got enough frequent flier miles to upgrade. Typically, I pull all nighters before taking long flights. I like to sleep on planes and always travel with a mask and an extra pair of socks to keep my toes warm.

A few days prior to a recent trip to California I happened to discover the MUS travel kit at a chic, little boutique in lower Manhattan. It was love at first sight. Manufactured in Italy, the Mus Cashmere travel kit includes a sleep mask, pillow cover, socks and a pouch. Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love cashmere. Who doesn’t?

I knew that my 6am flight from New York to LAX was going to be brutal and I wanted to be comfortable. The cashmere mask and pillow cover looked so warm and welcoming. I had to have it for my trip and I couldn’t wait to get my feet into those socks. Lately, it seems like airplanes are igloos and the thought of those cashmere socks toasting my feet and ankles made me… dare I say it… giddy!

Yeah, the price tag scared me at first but then I thought of all the flights I’ve taken; all the times my poor swollen feet were frozen; all the times I’ve balled up my wrap to form a pillow so that my neck wouldn’t be sore after lying on the window sill; and all the in-flight pillows I’ve been afraid to use because “… someone else might have used it”.

In the end, I decided it was worth $895. In fact, I went ahead and purchased the hooded cardigan, leggings and tank, all timeless pieces that are easy to pack, comfortable to wear and can seamlessly work into any fashionista’s wardrobe. If you’re like me and appreciate a good snooze on a plane you, too, will be hooked. Pick up the Mus Segrate Travel kit for yourself. Trust me, it’s worth it.
