A Caribbean vacation doesn’t often come cheap, especially when it’s the island of Anguilla. With over 35 beaches spanning 12 miles of glistening white sand and crystal blue waters, Anguilla, in the British West Indies is definitively highbrow. So, figure on blowing a few bucks on the flight over, but guess what? The bucks stop there.
That is, if you opt to stay at the Anacaona Boutique Hotel. This property is an adorable Caribbean hideaway just steps away from the island’s most ravishing beaches on Meads Bay. Aside from Anguilla’s perfect weather and beaches, expect 2 pools and lush tropical gardens. And, oh yeah, there’s the savings. Lots. Until September 1st the hotel is offering automatic room upgrades depending on availability with their “Run of the House Upgrades” program.
Upon reserving, you’re automatically upgraded from a Standard Room to a Superior Room, if available. But it doesn’t stop there. Upon check in, the receptionist will skim through the hotel’s vacant suites and if there’s a Junior (or better) suite available, guess what? It’s all yours. No need to whip out your calculator. I’ll crunch the numbers for you.
There are two scenarios.
Scenario #1: You book a standard room at the Anacaona for $150 a night. Instantly, you’re upgraded to a Superior room ($180 a night) and you save $30 right off the bat. Say you stay in Anguilla for a week, because let’s face it, you deserve this. Your savings would add up to $210!
Scenario #2: You check in at the Anacaona. The receptionist gives you a friendly smile, checks the system, and lo and behold, tells you there’s a Junior Suite ($260 a night) available. Lucky you. For the price of the Standard, you stay in the suite. One night, you save $110; for one week it’s $470!
Your bank account thanks you. And since you don’t have to stress out anymore, here’s the third scenario. You, lazing on the warm, white sand under the shining sun by the lapping crystal blue waters. Sure, you’re sipping a piña colada.
