The Squire knows you love good food but are you nuts for skiing, too? Wanna do both? Don’t worry, I don’t mean at the same time, but if you enjoy fine wine and cuisine on the slopes, then you’ll definitely like what’s on the menu at The Little Nell, Aspen’s Five Star destination hotel. On February 15th and 16th they are teaming up with Daniel Johnnes, Wine Director for Daniel Boulud’s Dinex Group, to host a return engagement of La Paulee des Neiges. This high style extension of La Paulee des New York, one of the greatest Burgundy tastings outside France, will be one of the most exclusive epicurean events of the season.
Des Neiges will pair some of Burgundy’s most sought-after winemakers with four celebrated expert chefs. Guest can expect to mingle with the winemakers while getting a taste of world class cuisine. So if you’ve been itching to meet the pros, then this is your chance to dine with the best and let the wine do the talking.
The highlight of La Paulee will be an exclusive Collectors Dinner on Tuesday evening at the Montagna, Little Nell’s four-star restaurant, where guests and winemakers enjoy a multi-course feast complemented with rare wines. The cost is $3250 per person.
On Wednesday get ready for La Paulee’s flagship event, a convivial lunch with the winemakers at the private Aspen Mountain Club. And if you are interested in getting into the spirit of La Paulee, you can bring your favorite wine to share with the rest of the group. The cost is $500 per person.
You’re on your own as far as skiing goes, but after all that wine who knows who’ll be joining you! Don’t miss out on all the fun! Reserve soon.
