Dreaming of a tropical escape with powder-soft sand, turquoise water, and unforgettable sunsets? Boracay Island in the Philippines delivers all of that and more.
Welcome to Boracay Island
Boracay is a picture-perfect island in the central Philippines, about an hour’s flight south of Manila via Caticlan Airport. Only a little over 4 miles long, it’s small enough to feel relaxed and it’s easy to get around, but there’s also lots to do in the buzzing beachfront areas and the quiet, more secluded corners.

The island’s crown jewel is White Beach, a two and one half mile stretch of ultra-fine white sand often ranked among the best beaches in the world. The sand is so soft it feels almost like flour beneath your feet, and the water shifts from crystal-clear turquoise to deep sapphire. Late afternoons bring spectacular sunsets, when the sky glows in shades of orange, pink, and gold, with traditional sailboats gliding across the horizon.
White Beach is informally divided into three “stations.” Station 1 at the northern end is the most peaceful and upscale, with wider beachfront and more space between resorts. Station 2 is the heart of the action, lined with restaurants, bars, and shops. Station 3 has a more laid-back, rustic feel, ideal for travelers seeking a slower pace. Beyond White Beach, you’ll find smaller coves and beaches that are perfect for snorkeling, paddleboarding, and island-hopping.
In recent years, Boracay has undergone a major cleanup and rehabilitation, emerging as a more environmentally conscious, better-managed destination—while still keeping the tropical charm that made it famous.
Why Stay at The Lind Boracay
For travelers looking for a stylish, modern, and relaxing place to stay on the island, The Lind Boracay is one of Boracay’s premier resorts.
Set on the quieter, more exclusive end of White Beach’s Station 1, The Lind enjoys a rare luxury: its own private stretch of Boracay’s most iconic shoreline. Guests can experience the island’s legendary sand and sea with fewer crowds and more room to unwind.

The resort blends contemporary, design-forward architecture with a relaxed, beach-chic vibe. Spacious rooms and suites work equally well for couples, families, and multi-generational groups, with many offering balconies and sweeping views of the ocean or lush gardens. Throughout the property, you’ll find warm Filipino hospitality—attentive, friendly service that feels polished yet genuinely personal.

Dining is a major highlight. The Lind offers all-day options featuring both Filipino and international favorites, plus stylish bars that are perfect for sunset cocktails. A standout is Yìm, the resort’s modern Thai restaurant, which serves authentic flavors in a relaxed, beautifully designed setting.

The Lind Boracay is also the only hotel on the island currently recommended by the MICHELIN Guide, a strong endorsement of its quality, consistency, and guest experience. At the same time, the property maintains a long-standing commitment to more sustainable, responsible island operations, aligning with Boracay’s evolution into a cleaner, more mindful destination.

If you’re planning a trip to Boracay and want a resort that combines design, comfort, great food, and a quieter slice of White Beach, The Lind Boracay is a standout choice for your island getaway.
Getting to Boracay from the U.S.
Traveling to Boracay from the United States is easier than it looks on the map, but it does involve a few connections. Most U.S. travelers first fly to a major Asian gateway such as Manila (MNL) or Cebu (CEB) in the Philippines, often connecting via hubs like Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, or Singapore depending on the airline. Philippine Airlines also offers convenient routes from select U.S. cities into Manila.
From Manila or Cebu, you’ll take a short domestic flight—about one hour from Manila—to Caticlan Airport (MPH) , the closest and most convenient gateway to Boracay. (Kalibo International Airport is another option but requires a longer land transfer.)
Once you land in Caticlan, it’s a quick combination of land and boat transfers to reach Boracay Island. You’ll ride from the airport to Caticlan Jetty Port , board a boat for a brief crossing to Boracay, then continue by vehicle to your hotel along White Beach. Many properties, including The Lind Boracay , can pre-arrange seamless, door-to-door transfers, so you don’t have to worry about the logistics once you arrive in the Philippines.
