Small But Mighty

The spa is small but mighty, with two jacuzzi pools, rain showers, and a wet and dry sauna all situated in a beautiful locally inspired bath house. Floor to ceiling windows offer full views of the surrounding forest and are complemented by slate floors, frosted glass walls, and a peaked wooden roof, giving it all a slightly Scandinavian feel. The light and airy environment urges one to take time soaking to release stress and guests have full use of the amenities for two hours, timed either before or after treatments.

Find Your Zen

A Zen atmosphere prevails throughout and in the reception area cushy chairs clustered in front of a welcoming fireplace invite you to sit a spell.  Soft lighting enhances an ambient waterfall which mimics the outdoors. Plush robes and slippers are provided so that you’ll feel at home while waiting in your cozy cabin for your treatment and table warmers in the treatment rooms encourage guests to fully relax.

The spa specializes in Northwest-inspired massage, body, and skincare treatments with herbs from their onsite garden and honey produced from their own hives. Try the Honey Hands and Feet Revitalizer treatment which uses oatmeal and honey together to exfoliate and hydrate dry skin. Or customize your own exfoliation scrub with the Herb and Honey Scrub Bar treatment by choosing your own blend of herbs which are then mixed with honey and other ingredients.

A Hollywood Connection

Fans of the cult classic TV show, Twin Peaks, will recognize the lodge as one of the filming locations and can enjoy the cheekily named Cherry & Damn Good Coffee Scrub treatment. Using ingredients inspired by the show, the treatment includes a full-body exfoliation with a blend of coffee, essential oils and sea salt and ends with a locally sourced cherry body oil. And if your treatment makes you crave some cherry pie, head over to The Lodge’s restaurant, The Attic, for a slice with a view of the falls.

Customized Treatments

Aside from local ingredients in their treatments, many of the facials use the organic Éminence skincare line, such as the Éminence Essential Facial which is customizable to fit your skin’s needs. There are also numerous types of massage treatments. The Tranquility Massage is perfect for relaxation and soothing tired muscles, while the Salish Signature Massage is customizable and blends several different styles. Specialized massages include Thai Massage where stretching and working pressure points relieve tension and stress and the LomiLomi Massage where the therapist uses extra-long strokes with both hands and forearms.

The Club 268 Experience

For an entire spa getaway, The Lodge offers the Club 268 experience. Named after the height of the waterfall just steps away, Club 268 includes a newly renovated guestroom with spa-inspired shower amenities, use of the exclusive Club 268 lounge, and all-day access to the spa’s soaking pools during your stay.

The prime location here makes it easy to walk next door to the top viewing deck to watch the majestic falls. And for another perspective, you can even walk down the half mile trail to view it from the bottom. The bottom deck is also vehicle accessible and both areas have parking lots. However, the moderately steep hike through the ancient forest is worth the effort. You’ll be appreciating nature’s powerful ability for physical and mental restoration and will depart balanced and refreshed.
